The child population according to 2001 census stands at 15.9%.Muslimpopulation records the highest proportion of population in the age-group 0-6 at 18.7% followed by Other Religions and Persuasions 18%.

The lowest proportion of population in this age-group is seen among the Jains at 10.6% preceded by Sikhs at 12.8%.The other religious communities have returned lower proportion in this age-group compared to national average.
