Aristotle and Society

Aristotle advocates that social philosophy should not consider anything absolute  good or bad as it is necessarily time specific and content specific collecting historical date on different forms of  governance. He is concerned about the health of the state than the needs of the man.To him state is more important than the individual .A good state has effective capacity to grant happiness to man of its own way.To make a society empowered,it is important that the rights of the citizen should be extended to the such bodies which are free from economic tensions.Aristotle makes a distinction between distributive and connective justice indicating that the concern of the state not simple to ensure that justice extended to different sections of the society.State should protect the rights of the people. There should be a harmony, integration and mutual relationship between the individual and the state. This can be considered as a foundation to the traditional theory in sociology which explains that social inequality  is functional .
