Technology

Technology involves using knowledge, tools, applications, and other inventions in ways that allow people to adapt to and exercise control over their surroundings.

Technology can be material such as cell phones, and ATMs or conceptual ways of organizing human activity such as the assembly line.It also includes the capability to apply knowledge in practical ways of converting burning fossil fuels into electricity; use computer applications to accomplish a task.

Technologies change the nature of human activity and social relationships as they save time. They dissolve social and physical boundariesfor example x-rays allow physicians to see into the body.Mobile phones blur boundaries between personal, home, and work lives and the Internet and other digital technologies make location and time irrelevant to learning.
