Integration

Integration is defined as a process of developing a society in which all the social groups share the socioeconomic and cultural life.

The integration of the communities is facilitated by the factors that help assimilation.

Alcott Parsons defined integration as a mode of relation of the units of the system by virtue of which on the one hand they act collectively to avoid disrupting the system and making it impossible to maintain the stability and on the other hand to cooperate to promote its functioning as a unity. He believed that the kinship group, family, profession, the state and religion are visible social structures and these perform the function of integration in various forms.
